Reading List

Over the past year, reading has become one of my favorite escapes. Whether I’m curled up with a paperback, listening to an audiobook in the car, or staying up way too late reading on my Kindle, books have completely taken over my life in the best way.

I mostly read romance, dark romance, and fantasy, especially anything with morally gray men, found family, tension, heartbreak, or a story that leaves me thinking about it long after I finish.

So, here’s a look at what is currently sitting on my shelves, in my headphones, and on my Kindle.

Paperback Reads 

I love my Kindle, but nothing beats having a physical copy of a book in my hands. I love annotating, adding tabs, and collecting the covers of books that completely wrecked me.

Hannah Grace: The Maple Hills Series

These are some of my comfort reads. They have college romance, sports, friendships, and characters that are just easy to fall in love with.

H.D. Carlton

  • Haunting Adeline

  • Hunting Adeline

These books are definitely dark and intense, so they are not for everyone. But if you enjoy complicated characters and dark romance that pushes boundaries, this series is hard to forget.

Navessa Allen

  • Lights Out

  • Caught Up

I love the tension and mood in these books. They are the kind of reads that make it very difficult to put the book down.

Penelope Douglas

  • Birthday Girl

  • Credence

Penelope Douglas always gives me stories that are messy, emotional, and impossible not to have opinions about.

Ana Huang

  • The Twisted Series

  • The Kings of Sin Series

These are BookTok favorites for a reason. The romance, drama, powerful characters, and addictive storylines make them so easy to binge.

Colleen Hoover

  • It Ends With Us

  • It Starts With Us

These were emotional reads that deal with difficult relationships and real-life situations in a way that stays with you.

Rebecca Yarros

  • Fourth Wing

  • Iron Flame 

Dragons, danger, romance, and a fantasy world I immediately wanted more of. This book absolutely lived up to the hype for me.

Kay Michaels

  • The Autumn Leaf Bookshop

This one has such a cozy feel to it. It is the kind of book that makes you want a blanket, a warm drink, and a rainy fall day.

Audiobooks I’ve Listened To 

Audiobooks are perfect when I want to keep reading but cannot physically sit down with a book. I love listening while driving, cleaning, or relaxing at night.

Steph Macca

  • Dance With My Demons Series

This series was dark, emotional, and so easy to get pulled into. It is one of those series that still pops into my head randomly.

Navessa Allen

  • Caught Up

I already loved this story, but listening to it made the experience even better.

Stephanie Archer

  • Behind the Net

A fun sports romance with characters and narration that kept me entertained the whole time.

Leigh Rivers

  • Little Stranger

This one was short, intense, and definitely memorable.

Kindle Reads 

My Kindle has become dangerous for my sleep schedule. It is way too easy to tell myself “just one more chapter” when the next page is only a tap away.

Emily Rath

  • Jacksonville Rays Series

Sports romance and found family are two of my favorite things to read, so this series was exactly my kind of comfort read.

Lindsay Straube

  • Kiss of a Basilisk

This was such a fun fantasy romance read. The world-building and unique storyline made it stand out from other books I have read recently.

What I’m Reading Next 

My library is always growing, and I already know this list is going to get longer very quickly. My TBR has absolutely no chance of getting smaller anytime soon.
