Where the Words Come Alive

At the bottom of this collection, I included a video created by poet Helena Rose.

I have recently started attending her Boise Hot Poets Open Mic Nights, and within that room of honest voices, vulnerable stories, and people unafraid to feel deeply, I finally found somewhere I can be completely myself.

These nights have reminded me that poetry is not only something we quietly read on a page. It is something we speak, share, survive, and sometimes find pieces of ourselves within.
